Celebrating 500 Years - Our Work with Christ Church, Oxford University

We were honoured to be part of a landmark celebration this year, the 500th Anniversary of Christ Church, Oxford University. As one of the most iconic and historic institutions in the UK, Christ Church required nothing short of excellence to mark such a monumental milestone.

Our role in this special project involved a full service print and signage package, from pre-press set up to cut vinyl production and installation. Every detail mattered, and none more so than the finishing touches that made the signage truly stand out.

One of the most unique aspects of this project was the application of fret-cut gold vinyl, used to overlay the Christ Church logo on each display board. The precision required for this process was critical, as was ensuring the rich gold finish reflected the elegance and prestige of the college's identity. Using our new Summa S3 T160 cutter we were able to utilize its speed in mass producing all the fret cut logos in one roll of vinyl and with the new ‘flex cut’ feature, we were able to individually cut out each logo to create a consistent finish and an easy apply sticker to mount onto each board. In total, there were 51 boards with gold logos so it was vital each were identical.

We produced two 3m wide fabric display stands using our easy to assemble formulate hardware stands. These were a key solution to create a free-standing display that was eye catching and informative as it was essential nothing was mounted to the walls.

Stunning visuals that blended traditional branding with high end production techniques, a perfect visual tribute to 500 years of academic excellence and architectural beauty.

This project was especially meaningful to our team, as our Company Director is a Christ Church alumnus. Working with Christ Church on such a prestigious occasion was both a professional privilege and a personal honour.
