A Global Centre of Excellence

Swedish medical technology manufacturer Getinge has established a new Global Centre of Excellence for Chemistry and UK headquarters at St. Modwen Park Derby. Within the facility, the MedTech company will bring together it's chemistry and instrument decontamination business, as well as it's UK sales offices, service functions and logistics operations. Getinge, which acquired Derby-based Quadralene in 2020, will be operational within the state-of-the-art, sustainable 78,000 sq ft building.

A walk around of the new facility was undertaken with the marketing team and all requirements were taken into consideration. It was important that all aspects of brand framework were taken into consideration while always trying to innovate new ways to achieve the desired outcomes.

An Innovative Way to Achieve a High Level Finish

Once all the requirements had been established the next stage was to look at innovative ways to achieve the high level of finish and quality.

Six two-meter-tall light boxes were used in the cafeteria area to showcase the core values of the organisation. The way to achieve the most impact for these was a backlit SEG Fabric Wall-Mounted Display. Printed textile silicone edge graphics (SEG) are stretched taut and mounted into the slots of the aluminium channel bar frame to create a highly polished finish. In the future the display graphics can be changed as required simply by producing a new graphic.

11 offices required Manifestation/privacy film. Manifestations are usually made from frosted vinyl dots or squares applied onto glazing to obscure the vision and help to prevent people from walking into the glass. For this project custom branded Manifestations were required. These were printed to Optically Clear film with multiple layers of white ink. This required the production of 33 panels of custom manifestation.

There were also wall graphics for the 11 offices and an 18-meter-long time line in the centre of the building. These were produced on a high-tac wall wrap, of which over 50 drops were printed and fitted.

With the skills of our dedicated fitting team, we were able to achieve the high-end finish this project required.

The impact of the job has really brought home the importance of consistent targeted and relevant branding to pull together what was already a very impressive building.
